Myla's Nursery

I started planning Myla's nursery the second that I found out I was pregnant. I tried not to let myself think about it too much, however, just in case we were having a boy- but I just couldn't help it. I have dreamt of having a baby girl and giving her the prettiest room for as long as I can remember. It took me a few days after finding out that we were having a girl to actually believe it. I was so in shock and in disbelief that my dreams of having a little girl were actually coming true. I started looking at nurseries on Pinterest right away. I'm going to be honest, it was so stressful deciding what I wanted her room to look like. I just wanted it to be so perfect for her and I was afraid that it might not turn out that way. My vision for her room started with two swans (that you can see on the shelves on both sides of her crib). My mom and I were shopping at TJ Maxx and she found the swans and wanted to get them for my baby shower. We were so excited to find them because we knew that they would be perfect for her room as well. So ever since that day I knew that I wanted her room to be classic and feminine with subtle touches of ballet. The first and most important thing that I had to decide on was the fabric that I wanted for her crib sheet and mattress pad. I knew that once I had the fabric chosen, everything else would fall in to place around it. I found the fabric from Spoonflower.com (they have so many unique and adorable fabrics to choose from). Besides the pieces that we already had, most of Myla's furniture and room decor was purchased from Overstock, TJ Maxx, and Ross. The rattan rocking goose was found at a garage sale! Can you believe that? My mom surprised me with the goose at my shower and it's my absolute favorite thing ever. I had so much fun picking everything out for her room and I'm already anxious to start planning her next room, haha! But until then, we are going to soak up every moment spent in this dreamy nursery.
