Asking my girls to be in my wedding was something that I wanted to be very special. This was something that I started planning before I was even engaged because I couldn't wait. I just love spoiling people. I LOVE giving gifts! So I started searching on Pinterest for ideas and there were so many adorable different ways to ask (see bottom of this post for links to some of my favorites). I decided to pull most of my inspiration from this site. I wanted to ask in the sweetest way that I could. And I think what I came up with was absolutely perfect! Keep scrolling to see how I made them.
So I found these photo storage boxes at Hobby Lobby (1/2 off- love that place)! I wanted my boxes to have a light and airy feel so I picked white. I printed off my girls' names on some nice card stock paper and cut them out and slid them into the metal holders on the front of the box.
I also found some pretty pink tissue paper at Hobby Lobby. I scrunched up the paper and lined the bottom of the boxes.
I purchased this adorable template from an etsy shop, here. I have the HARDEST time choosing between templates on etsy- there are just so so many to choose from. This one was actually meant to be a postcard, but I printed them one sided so that I could make them into normal folding cards. I wrote a note inside explaining why I wanted each to girl to be a part of my big day. I of course cried while writing these. I am SO emotional about my wedding. I had a shower this last weekend and I swear I cried like ten times!
I printed off some of my favorite wedding pictures from pinterest so that my girls could get a better feel for my wedding style.
I stacked the pictures and wrapped them in some lace.
One of my favorite parts of this project was finding pretty handkerchiefs from antique stores.
I printed off these strips that said "For your happy wedding tears..." and I wrapped them around each handkerchief.
I fastened the strips with some glittery washi tape.
The finishing touch to my boxes were these antique bracelets that the girls will wear for the wedding.
So simple to make! I LOVE how they turned out.
Most of my girls live out of state so I found some cute wrapping paper from Target and shipped them off. I stuffed the top portion of the boxes with tissue paper so that the items in the box wouldn't move around as much.
